Sylvie and Le Nichoir is a story that goes back before the very idea of the project !
In 2019, Sylvie went on an adventure, far from her town of Luxeuil les Bains in Franche-Comté, to participate in the creation of paintings and their auction in Etretat. We had the chance to welcome her during her stay in a bed and breakfast where she hared her passion with us, her encounters with artists during her artistic escapades on our Cauchois coast.
Our paths crossed agin in 2020, the year Sylvie won the Etretat competition with her work representing the famous cliffs. The idea of the Nichoir had just arrived. Sylvie will have laid the first stone in a certain way by creating at the heart of the farm, the work that she called « L’envol », result of discussion on the project.
Sylvie is also the artist who suggested that we could welcome her pairs in search of a peaceful, welcoming and inspiring place ! Because there lies the idea of Le Nichoir: to create over the course of encounters.
